Sables grow their horns over their lifetime, where they grow upright and tall, they will start bending backwards as they grow older, giving them their characteristic feature. Sables have a strong figure with a distinctive mane and are proud to present their beautiful horns. On Bergsig Game Farm, Sable Antelope live in the grasslands of the Grassy-Fynbos vegetation type, they graze, browse and are water-dependent. On Bergsig Game Farm, a sable-calf was born in winter, during the lockdown procedure of the Covid-19 virus.
